About

A skin penetration business is one where procedures break or pierce the skin and are carried out by people who are not registered health professionals. These include:
  • Waxing and other hair removal treatments
  • Nail treatments
  • Piercing
  • Tattooing
  • Beauty treatments like semi-permanent make-up and microdermabrasion
There are certain rules and regulations that must be followed when conducting skin penetration activities. If you have any concerns that these are not being followed, you can raise a request for Council to investigate.
