Unauthorised land use

About

There are regulations governing land use within Ku-ring-gai. When these are breached, you can raise a request for Council to investigate the matter to ensure these regulations are followed. These include:
  • Unauthorised use of Council or private property (e.g. business activities, non-approved short-term rental accommodation, private use of reserve)
  • Storage of materials on Council land (e.g. items or tape blocking footpath, containers on a nature strip)
  • Illegal advertising signage
  • Unauthorised use of recreational facility (e.g. personal trainer without a permit, court or grounds use without a booking)

Reporting other related issues

  • If you are reporting anything related to a skip bin, submit a request under Skip bins on Council land
  • If there are building works underway, but you believe they are not complying with their conditions of consent, submit a request under Non-compliant construction works
  • If you have witnessed works being constructed without required approvals, submit a request under Illegal building works/construction
  • If your enquiry concerns dilapidated buildings or fencing, submit a request under Building works enquiry to have the matter investigated.
  • If your enquiry is about someone selling items on the side of the road, submit a request under Roadside vendors
