Ku-ring-gai Council can investigate food safety concerns at retail food businesses in Ku-ring-gai, including:
  • Unclean food premises
  • Spoilt or rotten food
  • Foreign objects found in food
  • Poor hygiene or food handling practices
Some complaints must be directed to the NSW Government Food Authority, including issues relating to
  • Butchers
  • Food allergens
  • Food labelling or pre-packaged foods
  • Manufacturers or wholesale food businesses
  • Food poisoning affecting more than one household
Please note: If your request is related to a food business operating on private land without the correct consent approval/s, please raise a request under Unauthorised land use to have the matter investigated.
