About

In New South Wales, private sewage systems such as septic tanks are the homeowner's responsibility to maintain and repair.
If sewage is causing an issue between neighbouring private properties, Council may be able to investigate the issue.
Please note: If sewage is coming from a utility hole in the road or footpath, or from public infrastructure, contact Sydney Water immediately on 13 20 90.
