Once you have received your Occupation or Completion Certificate, if you paid an Infrastructure Bond/Guarantee, you will now be able to request this be refunded.
Depending on what information was provided at the time the bond was paid, Bonds are generally refund via a cheque sent to the applicants address unless otherwise advised/requested. Bank guarantees are released to the issuing bank. If you have an enquiry relating to refund of your bond you cab raise a request to Council to advise.
Please Note: Your certifier will need to register your Occupation Certificate with Council via the NSW Planning Portal before Council can officially release your bond.
