About

Council offers residents the opportunity to request a street tree to be planted on the nature strip adjacent to their property. Once a request is received, our Tree Management Officer will inspect the site to determine a suitable planting location and tree species.
The assessment considers:
  • Available planting space
  • Location of powerlines and driveways
  • Visibility for motorists and pedestrians
  • Other environmental and infrastructure factors
This ensures that new trees are placed safely and sustainably within the streetscape.

More information

Trees planted on Council managed land and private property are protected by Council's Tree & Vegetation Development Control Plans and other legislation. You can learn more on how we manage and look after trees on Council's website.
