If you are concerned about a tree on Council-managed land, you can request an inspection by Council staff. This could include trees you suspect are dead or pose a safety concern.

Trees planted on Council managed land and private property are protected by Council's Tree & Vegetation Development Control Plans and other legislation. You can learn more on how we manage and look after trees on Council's website.
Please note:
Council trees growing into powerlines is not managed by Council. Ausgrid are responsible for maintaining safe clearances of tree branches in proximity to powerlines and your concerns should be raised through Ausgrid's website link or report to Ausgrid by phone to 13 13 65. You can also visit Council's website for further information on trees requiring pruning for powerlines.

Submit a request

To request an inspection of a Council tree, you will need to provide:
  • The location (address, street name or nearest landmark)
  • Details of your concerns
  • Optional photo upload to assist Council staff
After receiving your request, a Council officer will contact you to advise the outcome.
