If you see a fallen tree or large branch on Council land that may pose a safety risk, please report it to Council for removal. This includes fallen trees and branches located on roads, footpaths, parks or reserves.
Please note:
If the tree or branch is on private property, it is the responsibility of the property owner.

Council is responsible for clearing trees and branches that:
  • Block roads, footpaths or driveways
  • Create a hazard for vehicles or pedestrians
  • Have fallen in parks, reserves or other public land
Trees planted on Council managed land and private property are protected by Council's Tree & Vegetation Development Control Plans and other legislation. You can learn more on how we manage and look after trees on Council's website.

Submit a request

To report a fallen tree or branch, please complete the online form. You'll need to provide:
  • The location (address, street name or nearest landmark)
  • Description of the tree or branch
  • Whether it is causing a hazard or safety risk
  • Optional photo upload to assist Council staff
Please note:
If a fallen tree or branch has brought down powerlines, is on fire, or poses an immediate danger, call 000 for emergency services.
If the tree has affected powerlines but there is no fire, contact
Ausgrid on 13 13 88 before reporting it to Council.
