Council can arrange the collection of deceased animals and wildlife from public land within the Ku-ring-gai area.
If the animal appears to be a pet, Council will make every reasonable effort to contact the owner.

In the unfortunate event you see a deceased animal please note the following.
Wildlife
- Council will organise collection of native animals from public places, like roads and footpaths.
- If the animal is located within bushland or other natural areas and is small, it may be best for the environment to leave it undisturbed.
Family pets
- It is the owner's responsibility to make their own arrangements when a pet passes away within the family home
- To notify Council of the death of a registered pet dog or cat, please submit a dog or cat pet enquiry so your registration details can be updated.
