About

Council can assist in reuniting pet owners with their furry friends. If you have lost your pet or found an animal you can report it here.
Urgent requests
If you have witnessed unattended dogs roaming in your area and are unable to contain them, or you believe they are unsafe to approach or are in danger, please report the issue directly to Council's customer service team on 9424 0000.
Lost pets
If your dog or cat has been lost and is registered on the NSW Pet Registry, you can contact Council to report your pet as missing, and we can update the animal's Registry status to show it as 'lost'. If you have your own account on the NSW Pet Registry, you can
log in and update your pet's status yourself. It's essential to keep your pet's registry details up to date so you can be contacted if your pet is scanned.
Found/roaming pets
If you find and contain a wandering cat or dog, you can report it to Council. Whenever possible, we will come to collect the animal and scan it to identify the owner. If the owner cannot be found, the animal will be taken to the local pound. Please do not leave a contained animal unattended, as this may lead to the animal injuring itself or re-escaping.
Please note Council rangers will not attend to non-contained cats.
Wildlife
Council will not investigate or collect wildlife. If you have captured injured wildlife, please contact
WIRES for assistance.
