About
In New South Wales, road load limits protect bridges and road infrastructure from excessive weight. These limits are shown on road signs and specify the maximum Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) or axle group mass allowed on that road. Drivers must ensure their vehicle, including its load, does not exceed the posted limit.
If you witness heavy vehicles exceeding the allowable load limit on Council roads, you can report the matter to Council.
