About

Companion animals (dogs and cats) must be registered by 12 weeks of age. It is Council's responsibility to ensure that pet owners are following these regulations.
Periodically, Council conducts an audit of dogs and cats older than 12 weeks of age that have been identified on the Companion Animals Register but have not yet been registered. Letters are sent out to owners advising them of their obligations to register their pet.
Please note: If you have been sent a letter it means your pet, as identified on the Register, meets the requirements for lifetime registration but has not yet paid the mandatory lifetime registration payment.
